Our school symbol
The stained glass window symbolises the diversity of the members of the school community who work together to build and educate our children in an atmosphere of tolerance, cooperation and peace between nations.
These values enable our children to take their place in a multicultural society and spread the good news of care and love for one another. The window is proudly featured in our new administration block.

Our history
St Margaret Mary’s is a well-established primary school, thriving with cultural diversity and a strong Catholic identity.
On September 7 1941, St Margaret Mary's parish and school were officially opened by Cardinal Gilroy.
The following year, the school enrolled 40 students, taught by the Sisters of St Joseph.
The Josephite sisters later transferred the school to the Marist Sisters who faithfully served the school from 1950-1990.
Over the years, our school buildings have experienced several transformations. In the 1960’s, the parish purchased a cottage block to be used as classrooms.
By 1965, St Margaret Mary's expanded to 500 students. In 1990, the school transitioned to full coeducation, allowing boys to enrol beyond Year 4.
Between 2001 and 2003, new buildings were constructed alongside upgrades to existing classrooms.
Today, our school enrols over 570 students, representing fifty different nationalities and twenty different languages.
